Seyyed Jamal's works make it clear that the question of the causes of the decline of civilizations and the way out of it were among the fundamental questions in his thought, and he sought to find the answers to these questions from the verses of the Qur'an. The present research is one of the qualitative researches that was carried out with a descriptive and analytical method, and it tries to achieve his interpretive approach regarding the contexts and roots of the decline of civilizations by re-reading the verses of the Quran and the interpretation data in Seyyed Jamal's writings and categorize them. Based on the results of the research, the fields of degeneration in Syed's thought can be formulated in three types of fields of insight and knowledge, action and behavior, and communication and development. According to Seyyed Jamal, one of the most important reasons for the decline of civilizations is the deviation from religious ideas and teachings by the people of the nation, which is one of the fields of insight and knowledge, and causes the tradition of change from God, from favorable to unfavorable conditions, to such a nation. Also, this factor will cause the emergence of other areas of degeneration, such as division and differences, weakness and indolence,
