One of the notable approaches in opposing the civilization and Islamization of sciences is a view that relies on phenomenological philosophy and ontological approach, in order to to consider the civilizational requirements of modernity as historically inevitable. Based on this theory, any attempt to Islamize and localize science for engineering is condemned as a failure in Islamic civilization. In fact this approach believes that the concern and effort to civilize and Islamize the sciences is rooted in the trend of anti-Western nationalism and identity. Therefore it returns the reasons for its opposition to this issue which faces internal and external obstacles. Accordingly, the internal obstacle to the possibility and refusal of civilization and the production of religious knowledge goes back to the rule of the theological system, i.e. theology in Islamic society. In other words, any human epistemology that mediates human understanding of the text and truth of religion, due to its human nature, leads to distortion in religious understanding and consequently ideologicalization of religion. While the truth of religion is absolute due to its characteristics such as being sacred, metahistorical, objective. As a result, its comparison with science is impossible. Consequently, the design of Islamic civilization based on the production of religious sciences is prevented.
Our confrontation with religion is an existential and developmental matter. The external obstacle of refusal refers to the historical context, the inherent requirements of modernity i.e., modern science and technology. Such a situation is not confrontable with man power and authority. Considering the two basic signs of the above theory in the refusal of Islamic civilization engineering and the production of religious science, it should be said that basically, without a comprehensive division in religion in drawing the structure of religious knowledge and explaining the position of desirable theology, we have to come down to a civilized and consensual scale. In fact, the existential relationship with religion is an internal and individual relationship and causes the isolation of religion in the context of social life and leads to secularism. On the other hand, such a comprehension of the requirements of modernity is not compatible with the principle of human duty and authority for social development and civilization. It must break the binding and compensatory. Hence, the plan of Islamic civilization and religious science becomes desirable and possible.
