Abstract

The question of what caused Islamic civilization to weaken has always been debated by thinkers. Imam Musa Sadr, as a thinker who is seriously concerned about civilization and is trying to revive and rebuild Islamic civilization, has commented directly and indirectly on this issue. To pursue this issue, it may be possible to name two internal and external factors in general, but it seems that Sadr refers the main role and reasons to internal factors in the change and transformation of Islamic society and its deviation from the right path. It can be expected that Islamic civilization will be revived. The inner transformation of individuals and the realization of Islamic society is a condition for the revival and realization of Islamic civilization. Therefore, various internal elements, including political, social, moral, and economic aspects have been involved in this field, which should be reconsidered. Sadr mentions various reasons for not feeling socially responsible in the form of laziness, the closure of women who are half of the active population, the lack of honesty and separation between words, promises and deeds. The transformation of the caliphate into a monarchy as a historical issue And in general, the deviation of Islamic society is then discussed. In addition, in order to realize the Islamic society as a reliable point for bowing to Islamic civilization, Sadr considers the role of awareness and understanding and correct knowledge of religious teachings as the most effective way in this regard and to provide the criterion of humanity to study and compare Islamic civilization and Western civilization. It has useful hints. The present discussion, which looks at the current situation in the Islamic world and in order to lay the groundwork for the realization of a new Islamic civilization, explains the issue of the weakness of civilization and the backwardness of Muslim societies in the thoughts and opinions of Imam Musa Sadr.
