The value of manipulations in nature in order to establish a new Islamic civilization from the perspective of Master Motahhari

Abstract

Western civilization recognizes the value of science in its application to human empowerment to enter and manipulate the nature. Due to the general popularity of the practical applications of natural sciences, today the preferred bio-instrumental model of Western civilization has prevailed in all societies and has led to severe challenges. The new Islamic civilization cannot accept the Western way of manipulating the nature and must provide an effective model based on the teachings of Islam in this regard. In this article, an attempt has been made to study the issue of the value of capturing nature based on the views of Master Motahhari. Therefore, after the semantics of "Manipulation in nature" and a look at the "causes of human desire" for this work, it has been shown that according to Master Motahhari, the principle of manipulation in nature is not only permissible, but also worthy. Yet, its desirability depends on compliance of seven conditions.  These conditions are presented by inference from the works of Master Motahhari, and finally we have finished the article with a critical look at the literature of this discussion.
